About Company

MZK is a small, HUB Zone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Business providing Enterprise Services, Network Assurance, Advance Technology IV&V, Telecommunications Services and IT Professional Services for Business-Government Ventures.

Dr. John Williams, MZK’s Owner, President, and CEO, is an executive leader with 35 years of experience in IT and related fields. He has led large organizations in both programming and networking technical staff in developing technology agnostic solutions and products. He has developed cross-functional organizations to establish missions, set goals and objects, and ensured resources were in place to complete the projects.

Internationally, Dr. Williams is experienced in technology and telecommunications deployments in both friendly and hostile environments. From early deployments in Southeast Asia to later deployments in Europe and Asia, Dr. Williams has always delivered well designed, highly reliable and robust communication infrastructures. Dr. Williams has successfully designed and deployed the first commercial base IP network in the Netherlands. The VVIS networks connected more than 137 central offices and switch locations throughout the country and formed the backbone for their existing infrastructure. In Asia-PAC, Dr. Williams successfully built the first foreign owned ISP in Japan, connecting all major Japanese cities and deploying advanced multimedia wireless ASP’s and servers integrated via wireless and fiber connectivity.

Domestically, Dr. Williams has successfully deployed multiple nationwide telecommunication infrastructures for major wireless carriers and fiber optic companies. He was a charter member to the Multimedia Standards committee that later set the standards for 802.11 and was instrumental in establishing the Broadband Wireless Forum that led in the creation of standards for WiMAX. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience with the Bell System, WANG and CSC, Dr Williams recently completed the “Ring of Fire” SONET network currently being utilized by the Department of State in many strategic locations. His experience in both continuity of operations and survivability have been instrumental in establishing networks that are currently performing with a probability of “1” availability.

Dr. Williams started MZK in 1999 and has been providing Data Processing, Telecommunications and Portal professional services to government and commercial clients. MZK is positioned on the forefront of the telecommunication convergence. From software/firmware life cycle development to advance fiber optic designs and builds we maintain  a “Quality First” mentality that has led to his company’s most recent Dunn and Bradstreet Open Source rating being an outstanding 96 out of a possible 100 rating
